Transparencia Mexicana is a civil society organization dedicated to the control of corruption in Mexico. Under a human rights approach, we generate concrete proposals to reduce the risks of corruption and strengthen the capacities of both the public and private sectors to address the causes and effects of this problem. Our experience ranges from measuring the impact of corruption in public procedures and services to the specific analysis of corruption risks in sectors such as public procurement or the energy sector. We are the chapter of Transparency International in Mexico. The main objectives of Transparencia Mexicana are: Promote the consolidation of a civic culture of respect for legality. To do this, it seeks to improve the understanding of said culture, as well as the challenges that a social ethic poses. In this sense, the ethical discussion is not only about inner conviction, but also about a new relationship with the community.Analyze and integrate proposals around the educational apparatus and the value system. Not everything can be regulated. That is why Transparencia Mexicana delves into the field of civic culture and the values of Mexicans. Understanding the values of transparency and respect for legality that both the educational system, the media and the family transmit, is an essential task to produce a new culture against corruption.Establish alliances and networks to combat corruption. Both in the international arena, through Transparency International, and in the different states of the country, Transparencia Mexicana seeks to establish coalitions that promote concrete policies to reduce the margins of corruption.Maintain a vocation of service and advice. Transparency Mexicana's objectives include the generalization of successful measures to combat corruption. To do this, it seeks to advise the organizations involved in decisions with a risk of corruption, with information and concrete actions to reduce it.Define some of the actions necessary to strengthen the constitutionality of public and private life in the country. It is about generalizing the defense of legality as an institutionally effective and economically profitable way of participating in society.
